About

Hello!  I’m Lori Day, and welcome to my honest corner of the internet.

One of the biggest reasons I started this blog is for my kids. I want them to have something to look back on; something they can turn to when life gets confusing or heavy. If they ever find themselves wondering “How would Mom have handled this?” I hope that some of my words help answer that.

In a lot of ways, this blog is my open diary. It’s where I unpack life’s messiness and share what I’ve learned (usually the hard way), and try to make sense of the big feelings and small moments that shape us.

For years, I tried to be the one who made everyone else comfortable — the good girl, the helper, the one who always said yes. But “nice” came at a cost: emotional exhaustion, resentment, and a slow disappearance of myself.

Follow along, if you’re stuck in old patterns or you just need someone to say “me too” you’ve found the right place, I’m sharing pieces of my life through stories about codependency, boundaries, parenting, burnout, and healing. Sometimes I write like I’m talking to a friend, other times, like I’m writing letters to the version of me who needed to hear it.

I don’t have all the answers, but I believe in being real. If you’ve ever felt stretched thin, quietly overwhelmed, or like you’re always giving and rarely receiving — this space is for you.

Thanks for being here. It means more than you know.
